Strategy & AI Consultant

Most teams aren't stuck because they lack ideas

They're stuck because no one has helped them figure out which ideas actually matter, how to turn those ideas into a realistic plan, or whether they're solving the right problem in the first place.

Book a Clarity Session

I help teams get unstuck. Through workshops, strategy sessions, and ongoing thinking partnership, I help leaders navigate ambiguity, align around what matters, and build a realistic path forward.

Sometimes that means finding a good reason to stop pursuing something that isn't working before it costs another six months. Lately it's also meant helping teams figure out where AI actually fits in their work — and where it doesn't.

I've spent over a decade inside complex software companies doing exactly this — helping teams that were spinning find their footing. The work doesn't always come with clean metrics attached. But it tends to show up in decisions that actually stick, teams that stop stepping on each other, and leaders who finally feel like they can see the whole picture.

If your team is stuck in that way, I'd like to hear about it.

Cross-functional alignment

"

Dan helped us take an ambiguous project, align multiple stakeholders across the company and uncover the biggest challenges we needed to tackle right away. It made a big impact in moving a strategic project forward much faster than we would have arrived at on our own.

He is excellent at drawing out the core questions that need to be answered to develop meaningful strategies. He understands how to create an environment where people feel safe to express their ideas and concerns, even when there are strong opinions in the room.

Technology strategy

"

Dan delivered a high quality assessment on how to apply emerging technologies in our football program. His ability to assess our use cases and frame up opportunities based on key values and the impact on our player development strategy was very helpful.

With Dan's research we identified new use cases we hadn't considered. I highly recommend Dan as a strategy and technology consultant.

Why this path matters

I started as a developer, which taught me how systems actually work underneath the surface. I moved into design strategy, which taught me that the most technically correct solution is worthless if it doesn't fit how people actually think and work. Then into product strategy, where I learned that even the best-designed solution fails if it's solving a problem nobody's willing to pay to fix.

That path wasn't linear by design — but it gave me something I couldn't have gotten any other way: the ability to operate at every level of a problem simultaneously. I can sit with an engineer in the morning and a VP in the afternoon and help both of them see the same picture.

Most of my work has been internal consulting — navigating ambiguity, aligning teams, connecting strategy to execution across a decade inside complex software companies. The track record doesn't live on a case study page. It lives in decisions that actually stuck, strategies that got off the ground, and teams that stopped spinning.

I work with a small number of teams outside my company on the same kinds of problems. If that sounds like a fit, the best next step is a conversation.

Let's think this through together

Tell me what's going on — where your team is stuck, what you've already tried, or just what's keeping you up at night. I'll read it, and if it sounds like something I can help with, I'll reach out to schedule a Clarity Session.

Clarity Session — $400 90 minutes. We'll get into the real problem, start building a frame around it, and you'll leave with something useful — even if we never work together again.

If it's not the right fit, I'll tell you before you book.

Got it — I'll read this carefully and be in touch soon.
